Hi. This is DJ Rob. You can catch him spinning any weekend at Woodstarr in Parkersburg, WV.

He is 29 years old, born and raised in Beaver Falls, PA. He met his lover of six years online and they are living happily ever after. He moved to Parkersburg in 2003, where he attended Beauty College. He then started school in 2004 and graduated in 2005. He has always wanted to do hair but never really had an opportunity until his move to Parkersburg.

After graduation, he got a job at Regis Salon in the mall where he met Tammy. Tammy and her husband then had a DJ business and she was currently working as one at True Colors. She began showing him the ropes, teaching him how to change the CD's and work the equipment.

Some time later, he had been given a chance to DJ one night a week; which eventually turned into every weekend. After True Colors closed down in June 2006, he went on to DJ part time at Utopia until December 2006. In 2007, he made a carrier move and changed salons and moved to The Rage.

He wasn't disc jockeying at the time, but he continued to keep up with music because it's another passion of his. He has currently upgraded from CD to a laptop during this time. In December 2007 he began to DJ at Woodstarr.  One of the best things he enjoys about being DJ is show nights; it is fast, exciting, and everything is constantly moving. The one thing he prides himself on is the fact that he doesn't use play lists; he mixes as he goes. He says it is more fun that way. He also wants you to know that if he doesn't have something you request, check the next week because he runs right out and picks it up immediately.

At this time, he would like to thank Ben and Jason who run the lights, cameras, and get the show music together from the divas.

He would also like to thank his partner for 6 1/2 years. They also travel together to Pittsburgh to get tattoo work done quite often. Another art form he loves. He is always on the go: either doing hair, working as a DJ, or out with the boyfriend. You are sure to catch up with him somewhere. This week, we want to honor him, for his work as DJ Rob at Woodstarr, and offer him a place in the record books as a Parkersburg legend.
