January’s “Bitches with balls!"

Simply XTC! ((The One to Watch))

At this time, I would like to introduce to you a little ball of fire. She is a queen to watch.  I look for big things from her throughout 2008!
She entered stage left and left the crowd utterly amazed. She is beaming with confidence and carries her performance to a rousing applause. But, it was something more, a deeper honesty and sincerity in who she was that the crowd experienced. XTC was having a great time, and it was infectious: pure entertainment. Good energy = good response. XTC said later, “That was great! I can’t wait to do it again.” She is sure to please and a must see at the Broadway.
Michelle St. James
Many cross dressers don’t tend to mix their “girl life with their “boy interests.” Not so with Ms Michelle St James from Charleston.
The thing about Ms. St. James is the class she brings to any event she takes part in. She exudes excitement, everything from her good looks to her down right active shows. The crowd lights up when she back flips across the stage. She has won title after title, and shows no signs of letting up. We congratulate her for being one of the best in the female impersonating biz.
The Queen

When you speak of girls with balls, there is only one Queen to discuss from 2007. Ms Robin Hearts, she is simply flawless! She stole the state’s heart as she competed for the coveted title of Ms WV Queer News 2007.

Robin Hearts not only performs on weekends as a female impersonator, but she lives as a woman. As I am sure that someday she might go through the final steps to becoming a real live WOMAN! While she gives up her title in March, Ms Robin Hearts will always be known as the first ever Ms WV Queer News, and a couple of memories we will take with us, will be her creative gown made of neck ties and her awesome talent that she did with her boyfriend, a skit from Little Shop of Horrors that ended in a loud display of praise.

We congratulate her and wish her well with 2008, and can’t wait to see what titles she holds this year.

Leading by Example

While we pay tribute to the entertainers within the state. I think something should be said to the queens who continue to make their mark in the community as business owners. I would like to welcome to the block, Mimi and Ginger from Woodstarr. They seem to be giving Parkersburg everything they want in a gay bar, and I applaude them for working so closely with the community to really acknowledge their needs and wants. They have also gracefully accepted to host the Terry Awards in March for Wv Queer News. We look forward to a great event with them and more importantly , we are ready to make some more in state memories and history.
