Every since I was a little kid I always wanted to be a boy, and of course was one of the biggest tomboys around. I was raised in Lorain, Ohio until I was 14 years old, then placed in the hands of the county. When I turned 18, I started going to this Club called 1504 that my father worked @ when I was a kid. It was here that I met Ms. Erica Martinez, (who was my actual inspiration and idol, my DragMother, she let me perform for the first time on the 1504 stage as Charley Kidd Jr.. Also done an AIDS benefit show there. That was when I knew that I loved being on that stage. I had went on doing shows in the Lorain/Cleveland areas, Tim's Place in Lorain, the Cage in Cleveland, and Muggs in Lakewood area.
At the age of 22, I had to let go of the DragLife for I was making very immature decisions and getting in trouble from those decissions. I was letting myself down @ that point, and had to get it together.
Well a little over two years agos I met miss Farrah Fawn, and Farrah asked me if I would be interested in doing a show a Lydia's in October of 08. To make a long story short I said yes. When I got on that stage, the feeling was so indescribable! Then the owner of Lydia's asked me to host DragKing nights every Friday, and have been doing every Friday since then, and lovin' every single minute of it! Gets a little crazy sometimes when you work full-time also, but I love it, and have much passion and love for it! Every performance comes from the heart, some say I may need Anger Management, and I tell them this is a part of my Anger Management, everyone loves that response! LOL I always tell every performer, just make sure you have fun in the process, if you can't have fun doing it, then it is not worth it!
I am also getting some things together, to get some future kings out there, which includes auditions and lessons @ Lydia's on Wednesday nights. But we are just trying to put this together as of yesterday, I will keep you posted on it. I wanna get this profession on a role for others who are afraid, but want to try, and have noone to show them. The more, the better! You know what I mean.
I have also performed @ Stiletto's in Michigan, which I was running down a highway 5 hours before being there due to my car breaking down on the way home from bringing the rental car home, cause we knew my car would not make it, and I made a commitment to my lil' bro KingNeko to get him down there also, ClubX in Sandusky, Split Level in Youngstown, and again @ Tim's Place in my home town Lorain, Ohio.
Therefore, I have never been in, or won a Pageant, but in my heart I know I can give a good running, when my car is running that is. Hopefully in time this will happen for me.
As for up-coming performances which includes: every Friday @ Lydia's, I am the coordinator of the shows, and perform in them, June 13th, I will be performing @ Lydia's for Miss Farrah Fawn, June 14th I will be performing in Akron Pride ( Day In The Sun), and July 19th back to Split Level in Youngstown, Ohio for Mr. Ricky Vega. That is all that I have scheduled @ the moment, but looking for other places closer to home @ the moment, cause my car sucks!
